About Our School
The Granite Falls School District Early Learning Center is dedicated to providing a high-quality, inclusive preschool experience that supports the diverse needs of children and families. Our program offers a variety of classroom options, including services for students enrolled in ECEAP, children receiving special education, and tuition-based peer models. We are committed to fostering a learning environment where every family feels welcomed and supported.
We believe that early intervention is the key to long-term success, and our goal is to provide children and families with the tools they need to reach their fullest potential. High-quality early learning experiences help build strong social-emotional skills, foster curiosity and problem-solving, and lay the foundation for lifelong learning. Our classrooms are led by experienced educators who implement evidence-based curriculum to promote growth across all developmental areas. In addition to classroom services early learning center families benefit from access to additional family support services, creating a strong foundation of collaboration between home and school and empowering families to be their children's strongest advocates.

A letter from Program Manager Brittany McGinnis...
My name is Brittany McGinnis and I am the Early Learning Manager at our Early Learning Center. This school year marks my 12th year with Granite Falls School District, with all of those years having been spent serving our preschool community. As a Granite Falls High School alumna, I first came to the Early Learning Center while finishing my senior year of college, when my own child was enrolled in the program. After graduating, I couldn't imagine beginning my career anywhere else, and the ELC has truly become my home.
Over the years, I've had the privilege of helping our program grow from two separate preschool programs—general education and special education—into one inclusive Early Learning Center with eight preschool classrooms. As both an educator and a parent in this community, where my own children and family members attend school, I have seen firsthand the lasting impact that early intervention and strong family partnerships can have. I believe every child and every family deserves to be met exactly where they are and supported in the ways that help them thrive.
One of the greatest joys of this work has been the relationships I've built with our students and families over the years. It is incredibly rewarding to continue seeing former preschoolers and their families throughout our community and school district, watching them grow and knowing that we were able to be a small part of their journey. Those lasting connections are a constant reminder of why this work is so meaningful to me.
It is a true honor to live and work in the Granite Falls community. I feel incredibly fortunate to spend each day doing work that I care so deeply about alongside dedicated staff and amazing families, and I look forward to another wonderful year of learning, growing, and celebrating our youngest learners together.
